I’m Julie Buttons Voss, and my roots trace back to the picturesque town of Ngongotaha in Rotorua, where I now thrive as an artist.
My creative journey spans across an array of mediums, from the intricate artistry of woodblock and lino prints to the tactile allure of handmade felt textile art. I find expression through the lens of photography, the fluidity of fashion design, the craftsmanship of bookbinding, and the limitless possibilities of mixed media.

What ignites my passion most is the art of sculpting textiles. There’s an enchanting alchemy in the way fabric can be manipulated to embody shapes and forms that captivate the imagination.
Inspiration for my work springs forth from the rich tapestry of my surroundings—the lush landscapes, the vibrant community, and the ever-changing seasons. Each element weaves its own story into my creations

I’m deeply committed to sustainable art practices, and I revel in the challenge of repurposing materials to breathe new life into them. Through upcycled and reclaimed materials, I infuse my art with a sense of eco-conscious creativity and reverence for the environment.
Welcome to my world of creativity, where every piece is a testament to the beauty of reinvention and the boundless possibilities of imagination.
